Not Really An Improvement, But Something Would Like To See...

Words on the sides of tires, we can edit the tire tread and everything else, how about company logo's on the sides of tires, like Nascar type tyres. Just something I saw while at tire kingdom and noticed we didn't have in LFS.

yep i want to see Cromo (or whatever it is now) in white on the walls of the FV8 and FOX wheels and some yellow ones on the GTR cars :p

Yeah that seems like a fairly simple improvement, there is probably already a template for that hidden in the lfs code

I bet it isn't easy! Cos the tyres are dynamic in shape, i.e. produced from vectors which deflect with forces, it's probably not that easy to map a texture onto the sidewall and have THAT deflect properly too...


I'd like to see it, but I'm pretty sure it's not as easy as it looks initially...

once eric fixes the UVW mapping on it it shouldnt be to hard, right now the sidewalls are textured flat, so once he straightens them out i dont see how it would be all to hard
