Auto skin download hickups

I remember something about a problem like I just had from a long while back... I searched here and in RSC but couldn't find it...

My LFS just kept downloading a skin just now... It was Zockertempel's helmet. And MRNL's helmet too before that.
It would download it, remove it from the list in options, and then put it back at the bottom of the list again to be downloaded.

Anyone remember what that was and what fixed it? (the offending users left before I had time to figure it out)

I believe it was caused by multiple users/racers in the same server using a skin with the same name - but LFS not detecting that its already downloaded it once.....if I remember correctly.

That's not what happened here... But alas... I'll see if it happens again.

hello my racing friends

just wanted to mention that here...
i have it more and more lately that if lfs tries to auto download a helmet skin
falls in some loop and dosnt stop anymore, i have to shut down auto dl to stop it...
i dont figured it out until now when exactly that happens but only last night i had it about 3 or 4 times

is it possible to stop it another way? i like to have the skins
but cant race properly if all 3 sec this message spams on my screen :pillepall

i think i found the failure now its somethin similiar to the one posted above
if i have a helmet in skins_x folder and another driver joins the server with the same helmetskin
he downloads it even if i got it allready and then dont stops anymore

now i deleted all my helmets out of skins_x dir and seems like it works all fine...

just incase somebody got the same problem :nod:
