Novice Touring Car Championship

This championship will be spread over 2 months and hopes to enable newer or slower drivers to compete a championship. There is no minimum entry requirements.

More rules are attatched, however drivers are expected to race cleanly and fairly. 24 drivers may enter each round but you can enter the whole championship or a single round.

There will be seven closely contested rounds and races will take at 19:00pm GMT time. All drivers will be sent an e-mail 2 hours before the start of the event.

Round 7 Westhill

The cars used will be the XRT, FXO and RB4.

Races will be posted on youtube. All drivers are welcome to join. Although entry will be difficuilt, it is recommended that you get your entry information early.

Chris, just curious about the skins.. Does the car have to be plain white, or can we use a custom skin with a white box and a number in it?

The skins can be whatever colour or design you want, provided that your NTCC number is on the bonnet and both sides.

I am going to supply numbers but it is very easy to do. Numbers must be large enough to see from a distance.

The numbers have to be in ARIAL font and must be black with a white background.

The server name will NTCC and the password will be dan

The word NTCC must be on every drivers number plate. Also drivers must have their given numbers printed onto their cars. Numbers will be up on the NTCC website later today. I have posted a tutorial for placing numbers on vehicles.

Drivers with offensive skins will be premantly banned from the NTCC.

You can only use one type of car for the whole competition, i would rather drivers read the regulations rather than me having to spoon feed them to you!

To prevent lag and making smoother racers for all drivers the server will host a maxium of 8 drivers at one time.

This means there will be a schedule of what time drivers connect to the server.

Drivers may only join the server for their race, this helps to prevent lag.

After heat 12 all drivers will leave the server and the grids for the finals will be decided. Drivers will all join the server together at 20:20 GMT to find out what final they will be entering.

Why do you have to go to bed so early on a Saturday night? Surely you stay up longer than 8 pm at weekends? It's ok on weekdays, but on weekends? Surely you cant really have much fun if you know that you will be forced to go to bed so early. I can understand on weekdays because of school, but weekends is beyond me.

btw, a g25 takes time to get used to, dont expect to be quicker than you were right away, it takes time :)

Chris said he'll be in and out tomorrow because he has some real life things to deal with, and I'm going to help out with running the event.

Just a reminder, the server will be 'Team Enginuity' tomorrow. Its up and running for practice. Half an hour before the event, the password will be set to 'ntcc'. I'll send a message and at this time please make sure you're using your real name and I'll kick anyone that isn't to get rid of people that aren't in the league, if there are any.

There will be three finals A, B. The B final will be ran with 10 drivers BUT the two drivers at the back of the B final grid will not score anymore than they would if they were in the C final.

The finals are 8 laps in length and the heats are 2 laps in length.

Also - do the RB4 drivers score normal points for this last event? IMO it seems a little unfair to give what is now the fastest car at all RallyX, and most tarmac tracks, the same points as an FXO or XRT as they are much harder to drive and slower on the "rough stuff"

That's true. You missed a big opportunity to whoop niko though. He beat me by about the same amount of time, because of his RB4's starting ability.

We were like the same distance around for all of the races, i was catching him a bit..But the Rb4 is just impossible to beat.

I'm dropping out as well, the times are verrrrrrrrrrry inconvenient (I'm an American and all and I think >21:00 GMT or 17:00< is good time for me to race) and life tends to get in the way from 17:00 to 19:00.
