I think the only solution for this problem is to get a new videocard...

Hmmm, not sure which version of DirectX LFS is compiled against (although I think it is DX8).
*edit*
Bit of research turned up the Amigasport/Amigamerlin drivers for Voodoo3, which apparently support DX9... no guaruntees though.

On the off chance that this is serious, you could help us diagnose this problem by answering the following:
Do you get any errors, or anything?
What happens when you run LFS?
Whats in deb.log?
What version of Windows are you running on?
Or if you're running linux, what version of wine/cedega? (technically its unsupported, and it runs badly, but its worth checking)
Whats the spec of the rest of your pc?
Incidentally LFS is Dx8 (or was last time I heard - and I dont expect it to have changed).

i dont think that you will EVER run LFS with voodo3...
buy a GF3 or Radeon 8500 if you wanna play LFS without lagging

Hate to break it to you, but even if you happen to get your voodoo to work with LFS, you wouldn't probably be able to play it very well since LFS also demands lot from the CPU and memory... Your system is thoroughly outdated.

odd amount of RAM lol
anyways, that 544 should run just fine, you just need a new graphics card if at all possible, that would be the reason why it doesnt work

his videocard is poo, his cpu is poo, his memory is crap... so his motherboard probably is too. Might as well buy a whole new computer.
new mobo- $60
New videocard- $120
New Ram - $80
new CPU - $ 80
Estimated 340 bucks to upgrade to lowend system specs ( butfast enough to run LFS at max detail)
right now you are damn near prehistoric.

I am sure I ran LFS with a Voodoo 3 in the past. That may have been before the haze effect (HVS) was complusory (is it?).
I think it was back in the days of S1 or early S2 I had a Voodoo3 Titanium. However, it was on a much better spec of system, i.e. 1.3GHz I think.
