Rules of banger racing?

what are the rules of banger racing? I was on a server today and saw some pretty nasty and demo user like things.

there are no rules thats why its called banger racing, the only rule was to not reset once your not on 4 wheels anymore.
i guess thats gone now also with patch x :)

On Gizmo's banger server, he had the rules no wrecking.

He said, "Its a banger track, not a wrecker track" which is a fair rule.

Really there are no rules, but the bangs, taps, hits are all meant in good nature, unlike demo servers.

generally the rules are

- no reset
- do whatever you see fit to PASS someone

Yah, just don't take out anyone just because and people won't yell at you. Hitting someone (tapping them) to the outside going into a corner is fair game to pass them as long as you don't ram them as hard as you can.

Play for fun, not to win IMO on banger racing. It's not like their is some uber banger cup prize ? Just have fun messing about trying to pass in close contact.:D

Some time ago when i was playing there were no reset rule and no wrong way rule. Avoiding other cars was stupid too as it's banger racing not racing.. most people were missing cars lying on roof etc...
It was fun back then..now it's not the same anymore.

As with everything there is a balance.

The tight nature of the circuit, and nature of the cars meant contact will happen, and this contact isn't punished. Also you do have to nudge and barge past people that's what it is all about. That's what makes banger racing fun.

However it is called Banger Racing so you have to acknowledge that racing is a critical element to it.

However when people just go flat out into a corner and T-Bone you, or driving the wrong way.... anything that actually hinders themselves as much as you... that's when..for me anyway... it doesn't become fun.

Fun for me is about nudging and barging, yet with an element of skill..... fun for me is not driving the wrong way, or just t-boning someone...

part of the whole point of banger racing is to 'bang' your way through as many cars as possible.... it is not to crash.... reset... crash again....

So as I said there is a balance..... So a bit of Banger....and a bit of Racing
