this isn't a technical issue or a bug problem, or even general live for speed topic related so i hope i don't get attacked for posting in the wrong forum.

what i'd like to know is:
how do people make those awesome animated gifs with scenes from LFS??

i've searched out animated gifs online but all i found was instruction on making little slide show ones.

any help will be appreciated.

get a program that can make .gifs lol
(not a free one.. the free ones never work [or atleast i never found one that works .. the least bit well at that])

and use fraps to take a video from LFS, then just turn it into a gif

I used Adobe Imageready for mine. All I did was take an edited screenshot I made and create another layer for the lightbeam (glow effect) in Photoshop.
Then create a frame without the beam, one with 20% opacity and one with 100% opacity on the beam layer.
I'm sure you can somehow acquire Photoshop, or maybe via your school?

ok that gets me started but lets say i get this "fraps" program, (a link to that would be great, wink wink) what program should i get for turning that into a gif?

In S1 there was special program that could make pictures and GIF animations.
