Hi all, I'm here to ask a favour. I run a competition called the GFC. Round 1 was held on Sunday night and we had quite a few disconnections while we had a full grid at the start of the race. I have spoken to 500Servers about it and they can't see anything in the logs. They have asked if I can stress test the server.

So here is the favour I need from all you kind people. :) At 10:00PM UK time tonight I want to get a full compliment of connections on the server i.e. 32 in race and 15 spectating to see if I get any disconnections again. On Sunday some competitors were disconnecting repeatedly. I want to see if this happens again with some different players.

So if you are free and are willing to help, please come to the server tonight at 10. It'll actually be quite a lot of fun too. FOXs and FO8s are great fun around KY National which is what the server is set on now. The server is called GFC.

I dont remember there were that many disco's.

Ian Maslen and Flip both got repeated disconnections. Flip went to cone dodgers after and had no problems. Ian Maslen was then unable to reconnect.

Other people suffered disconnections too - nigel on lap 3, hmm - I thought there were more but maybe they were just quitters. We had 32 cars on the grid and only 20 finished.

10 pm is 11 pm here so sry but it's too late. But there is another way. Pick as3 gtr combo few people from forum will join and the rest will fallow as most s2 racers are as3 gtr addicted unfortunatelly. :schwitz:

I usually get disconnected on servers with 25 - 30+ ppl online. I think it's my connection, altought I can race fully on servers with less then 20 ppl.

But these problems came about when X was released. And I have noticed that my connection on the left corner at the bar starts to peak just before I get disconnected. But until disconnection I can race against everyone else and everything seems fine (ie no lag or struttering).

I know that 3G isn't meant for online gaming. But maybe if I change my connection to 2Mb, maybe then these problems could be solved?

So, UK time - is that the same as GMT now?

No, current UK time (BST) is GMT+1
If you look at LFS World (http://www.lfsworld.net/), in the upper left corner you'll find UTC (which is the same as GMT). Just add one hour to that and you now have UK time.

It could be something as simple as some peoples connections not being up to the new 32 man, plus spectators, server loads. I'm not saying thats what it is but I'd make sure that everyone racing in the league does not have things like MSN or Skype, any downloads running during the race, even the spectators, if any, need to do this.

I've not raced the open wheelers much, but I'll have an offline practice for a while and may show my face afterwards.

I went online and spectated awhile, got disconnected (about 9.50pm). But this time my disconnection was due to my connection :shrug:

Hopefully the 3G-network's data is up and running this night, 'cause I would want to see how it would work this time on a full server...

Few hours earlier I was racing and having fun with no issues whatsoever :thumb:
