Where did you d/load the demo from?
Did it extract and install correctly?
Have you tried it again (the install, I mean)?

It sounds like you're opening the zip file and double clicking the LFS.exe file. You need to extract everything inside the zip file to a folder somewhere and then run LFS.exe
