Ermmm Mercury Racing Team's host was just having some big races. How could you have missed that host?

Logged in and there were almost as few cars to race, from the field being spread all around the track, as the other servers.
Pushed shift-r a few times to remedy that and pretty much the whole merc squad started an insult/you're selfish/shutup bandwaggon.
??
nice welcome on your server...

Well "shift+r" hello isn't nice either even less so if you do it many times. Sometimes people just have longer races AND finish them even if there's only few racers, not everybody likes 5 lap stints.

Ok. If you'd not known that, would you take it kindly to be insulted for meaning well?
Is it so irritating to have shift-r show up once every 30sec or so that one couldn't just say so rather than go apeshit over it?
I don't see the offense, it's just a single vote. What's so threatening about it?

No the race was perfectly normal, and there wasn't one 'single vote', everytime your vote was expired you kept trying to vote for a restart. So don't complain about the way the server was, 10+ more people were enjoying it, and only you wanted to restart because you weren't racing anybody and that the 'race was thinned out'. Well, how hard could waiting a few more laps be? Was a 5 Lap server on BL GP, that is quick... And it was your attitude that got you fed up with our host, which is why you left all on your own, which isn't a problem. Just don't vote to restart right out in the blue when people are still racing. Mmmk?
Even more so, you got all antsy about one of our drivers 'crashing into you', yet... you slid out on the esses and came right into the racing line and our driver hit you. Then you acted like it wasn't your fault? Come on now...
Maybe this is why nobody plays in our timezone, because people can't stay on a server and have fun!

No, I wasn't upset. I was catching up to the guy ahead who was about a second or so slower/lap.
I left because I should've been working and took a break between cram sessions.
Being insulted and seeing lynch mob comments was funny if nothing else.. I thought it'd be better for the whole field to race together rather than spread evenly around the track after the wrecks. The best refutal I got was like I said some slick comments such as "uh oh he's about to lose 2nd place"..
- watched the replay and there were about 5 others asking for restart at first, otherwise I wouldn't have asked for it; including a mercury guy.
Soon as the first rude response came I stopped shift-r'ing, yet there was still some of you egging on.

Just forget about it man, come back on the server another night and we will Shift+R for you at your request! :p
(Well that is of course if it is needed)

I just asked "wtf?" because the guy behind was obviously fast and should've known better than to push the inside when he didn't have the CRC-standard half car advantage and could probably see I set my apex up wide for exit speed.
I really don't care how you people play, I just come for races.
Just be polite next time, thanks.

After seeing how poorly people who have been drinking drive in LFS, I'm terrified that people actally attempt to drive on the road that way.:scared:

Sometimes its just easier to make a sub thread inside a thread, I don't see a problem with that when the topic was so off the wall anyway, unless gunn has a problem with it of course
