Hey everyone,

I was wondering if people were interested in a display that showed how damaged the car was. Something that showed suspension, tires, body, wheels and all that stuff in one place. Sometimes you can really damage something without really knowing, or sometimes you hit a wall at 160 and you go straight through damage free.

I find myself wondering sometimes if the car is really damaged or if it is just tweaked a little in the body.

Especially in the formula cars, they seem to have a higher tolerance for hitting the wall than real open wheel cars do, but they become quite crazy once they do get damaged.

Now, the obvious solution is to just not hit anything, but when you get a little love tap in turn one it would be nice to know if the race is still worth running or if you ought to just start watching

Though it needs to be noted, that F10 doesn't show all damage there currently is. In severe head on collisions it can happen that both front wheels are pushed back (closer to the driver), which isn't shown in F10. But obviously this has an impact on the handling and most of the time causes a change in caster, making it more positive. This means not only will the self centring force be reduced (or even reversed), but also the dynamic lean of the wheels while cornering, which will probably cause a bit more understeer.

I honestly think that the current "bars" system or a percentage display are both a little unrealistic, but probably necessary given the current state of the game's physics.
