the game runs fine,but it sometimes goes to 4FPS!

hi,

im very satisfied with this game, but I'm having this problem :

The game runs fine at 50-90fps, but sometimes (ill never know when) it will go at 4FPS ! then, if I quit game and run other, like CS, it will have only 25fps instead of ussual 150fps, but when I restart computer, it will run fine again...When Im having 4FPS, in task manager is everything ok, like when i had 90fps.The other games like UT2004, cs 1.6 are running fine and i havent any problems with them like this...

My config is : MSI K7N2DeltaL, Windows XP SP2, AthlonXP 2400+ at 3300+, 768MB DDRam, R9600xt - using catalyst 5.9 (im having problems with 5.6,5.7 and 5.8 too)

I think it should be some in-game bug, or if i am wrong, please let me know :)

If it's still causing a slow-down after you've quit LFS, then I think it's unlikely to be LFS that's causing the slow-down.

It seems fairly obvious that there's some process kicking in which is a major resource hog. When you're in task manager and your games have slowed down after playing LFS, switch to the processes tab and make sure nothing in there is hogging all the cpu time (in Windows, only the system idle process is steadily in the 90s on my machine).

Try also doing a scan for spyware, adware, and any virii, trojans or other nasties if you haven't already.
