New pc install, I'm getitng this message if I exit an offline race with ai
"could not save drv".
I can't remember having seen this before. What does it mean?

Quick idea here, most likely wrong.
If you've archived to a CD or DVD, then copied back, files/folders may be read only. Easy enough to check, but, as I say, probably way off the mark.

That's the first thing I thought of so I went in and unchecked the read-only on the lfs/data folder.
Trouble is I'm stuck with vista now and it probably won't let me do this for my own safety or something, I'm a child of Bill's nanny state. Who knows what I am now allowed to do on my own pc?!

I untick the 'read-only' box, run the game, exit midway through an ai race then go back and check. The box has reactivated itself.:(
I guess this is not allowing my ai to learn at all?!

after you extracted the files you need to copy them to any other place so you are the "owner" of them. at least this is how it worked before vista.
