A similar problem was mentioned a few threads lower about what IP address to use when hosting a LAN game, and so it seems i have the same problem. When i set the ip address to "auto", it starts the game, but then the guy on the network doesn't know which ip to use. i gave him my ip, then the network ip, but nothing worked. I read the LFS "wiki" manual, where the guy said that to host a game you have to use the ip 192.168.x.x. i tried this, and put the ip address 192.168.10.1 (lets say), and amazingly, i was able to host a game, cause usually i get a message "error bind failed" or "must enter a valid ip". i put in the ip on the other computer in the "find a specific game" field, pressed ok, got the "connecting" sign, and after 5 seconds of connecting... nothing. the sign disappeared, and did nothing.
so if you got any ideas about how to find the right ip or fix the problem, i'm all ears (or eyes).
thanks
