apparently a problem with licences

This guy NickC just came on the Silver&Gold server and joined a race although he said that he has only bronze. I said he should report it but he refused so I thought I should inform you here. Watch the replay, its self-explanatory.

I would have sent a pm, but you cant attach replays there. I also tried on the official STCC forums but its the same problem there. :x

Again not a bug in the program as such, but an error in the config file. I really regret changing the format of that file now ! lol...

Yep, MySQL has totally ****ed up. According to one of the server operators, it starts up, then instantly shuts down, and he doesn't have the appropriate expertise, so he's waiting for Sam or another person to wake up to get it fixed.

Yep, it looks like MySQL has crashed on our server. We're trying to get it restarted without having to restart the server itself. No success so far.. but still working on it :)

It looks like something has a hold on the port that MySQL uses. We can't find what it is though :schwitz:

Server restart has solved the problem (whatever the problem was!) so it's race ON again :)

You're still showing as copper in the licence lookup :( I think there's a problem with the licence calculation in Becky's code. Not that it's recording the points incorrectly, but the in-game lookup seems to be incorrect.

In order to move the dedi server from v3 to v4, some recoding of the SRA software is needed. Becky coded around the problem in dedi v3 that is now fixed with dedi v4, so to upgrade the dedicated server to v4 will need some recoding of the SRA. Your v4 client will be fine in the server while it's still running dedi v3 :)

Just left STCC 1a server and the license validate thing is till not working. At first it was working fine but few mins ago (from this post) the problem exists.

Yep, MySQL has fallen over again. I'm going to have to stop the STCC software until we figure out what's causing it. :(

I've narrowed the problem down. The server manager is running for now, but I need Becky to address an issue in the software urgently. It's affecting everything that uses MySQL, and on the UKCT server that's quite a lot of stuff! :)

She's sleeping in this morning, so for the moment the software is going to be tentative at best. Can't be helped.. working on it, etc :)

I have just been on the 1b server (uf1) and i kept getting the message "your licence will not be updated whilst in this car".

Weird.

Even our licence signature bars aren't working.............

Exactly the same thing happened last night, 10 laps into a 12 lap race at Blackwood. Always a pain when your winning:(
