Hey, if anyone is using trillian, you're probably noticing very high CPU usage. For some reason this just popped up today, it's a problem with the Yahoo plugin. If you go under preferences>plugins, and uncheck the yahoo box, everything is fine. There's a thread in the trillian forum about thise here http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75954
just letting all you guys know.

I have GAIM, but I can't stand the interface. It reminds me why I switched from AIM to Trillian in the first place ;)

Same reason why GAIM put me off, horrible interface, and buggy the last time I tried it.
Using Trillian now, and don't have the Yahoo plugin used, so it is unchecked.

Weirdo, I disable most of the features of plain Messenger just to cut down the clutter of the interface. Text = good. Smilies = useful. Anything else = go away.

I use Miranda IM. It has some problems with file sendings but the cause for that is mostly crappy MSN protocol not the program itself.

Cerulean Studios has released patches for both AIM and Yahoo. Just make sure buth plugins are enabled, close Trillian, and and start it again, they'll automatically download.
