I like to modify settings on a per-car basis. For instance, in the FOX I need a stronger force feedback setting than in the XRGT Turbo, for instance. I propose an 'Independant Setting' option which will allow users to have different settings for each car. When you first setup your controller, that will be your default setup which is applied to each car. When you hop into another car, and want to modify the settings, you can click a little 'Independant Settings' button, which creates a new settings profile for that car, which is loaded by default whenever you get into that car.

It would allow you to have different controller options (Force Feedback, wheel rotation for those of us with 900 degree wheels, etc) as well as allow different button setups. You can refrain from assigning a rev-limiter on the road cars, and use that button for another feature on those cars, without removing it on a race car for example.

Additionally, I'd like to have the ablility to map the 'Pause' function to my controller; in the dark it's hard to see me keyboard, and it is also hard to reach it while driving. Being able to quickly and easily pause while driving offline would be nice :shy:

I have always pondered this one. As I use a gamepad my steering lock, wheel-turn-compression and steer smooth settings vary from car to car.

+1

I thought all of what you ask (but changing rotation) could be done with scripts? But i don't know so +1 for individual settings.

I have no problems whatsoever, but it may be useful to some or more of the community :)

Why not just throw it on the "General" screen, like how fuel and stuff are, but have the car remember it, rather than how it does for fuel.
