LFS starts lagging weird everytime i change weather OR i change tracks...
It happens for example when i go from blackwood to city racing or change weather from clear day to cloudy

You're not the only one... Alt-tabbing out and back in will fix it.
No one's mentionned a real solution yet.

Quick reply huh?

It's actual normal and it's not lfs lagging, it's your pc loading all the textures for the new track.

No Davo, from what he says, I think he is another player who gets persistent lag after a track/lighting change.
It sticks till you alt-tab.

Isn't it obvious?

When changing track from BlackWood to some South City track. He just ommited the word "South", that's all.

Hmm...unfortunately Alt-tab did not change anything?
Any chance i did something wrong?

[pondering] Anything to do with enabling texture compression in the display options? Maybe you do not have enough spare RAM memory for the texture cache and it's overflowing onto HD virtual memory

Would that only happen when he changes track?

J00SU, can you describe the lag some more? Could you post your PC's specifications?
You do mean that it happens only when you change tracks, not on the first track you load after opening LFS?

Yes, it happens only when i change tracks or light.
I'm not that good in English, so it will be hard to describe the lag.
Sound and screen keeps stopping every 1 second, or something like that...
I got Pentium 4, 2.6GHz, 512MB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200

Does it happen more on different tracks, or only when you change to rallyx?:scratchch

If I'm on BL1 and i change to BL2, then it does not lag. But if I'm on BL1 and change to South city for example, then it starts lagging. With weather changing it lags even when i still have same track. Lagging stops when i turn LFS off and open it again, until i change track again.

That post is reported, no need for further notice here. I suggest the thread now starts going about to find a solution to the lag problem.

I can't see what the problem is there, maybe drivers or whatever. Because I'm running the about the same specs. Vid card is the same, I got double memory, and my cpu is 2.8

So that's not enough info to find the problem in I guess.

Well, other people seem to have this problem too, so maybe if there already is a thread about it, close this one, or remove useless posts like this one from this thread and keep it. Admin's decision!
