Don't know what the specific requirements are. Although LFS runs good on older systems, I would say that laptop really is too slow to play it properly, especially your very little RAM.
I think a 1Ghz PC with 256MB RAM is the absolute minimum with an at least decent GFX card. And maybe that's already too optimistic.

There's no way a Centrino laptop has 32MB ram. That must be video memory.
Why not just give it a try?

btw. if laptops are in the thread, i just got a Intel Centrino Duo Core 1.6ghz , GF Go 7400 256mb , 1gb ram and lfs runs rly shitty on it. it is doing 70fps and suddenly drops to 15 and like this all the time. no way to play it when other cars are around:S

That's usually caused by a virus scanner or some other piece of crap software that runs in the background. Just format the machine and install only the essential software (i do it with all my pc's).
LFS runs fine on my 3 jear old laptop (Dell 8600, P-M 1.6GHz, 1GB ram, Radeon 9600 pro), no strange fps drops. On a full grid the fps drops to +/- 27, but during the race it's somewhere between 50 and 80.

Why sell your license? Just start saving for a new PC. Selling your license will just give you a couple of quids.

I don't think that's the minimum. I had a celeron 1ghz, 256mb sdram and FX5200 ,before that: mx400 and some integrated bs i815. LFS S2 ran on MX400 and FX5200 (never tried it with i815). S1 worked on i815, quite shitty, but still, playable.:D

That's usually caused by a virus scanner or some other piece of crap software that runs in the background. Just format the machine and install only the essential software (i do it with all my pc's).Although that's largely true, in this instance it's possible to be caused by the power settings on the laptop - in order to preserve power, even on mains power, modern laptops will declock or shutdown processor cores.
It is possible to prevent this, but its highly dependant on the laptop and the software, etc.
