We are setting up a GT Series of 4 hour race events with driver change overs allowed. The series will consist of 8 events each on a saturday and each on a week which will not clash with the other major events on the LFS league timetable e.g. the MoE or BoTT
Teams are allowed maximum of 4 drivers per car and two cars per team. The cars used are the big GTR's (XRR FZR FXR)
The site is currently under construction:
www.IGTC.co.nr
If you or your team would be interested please post in this thread.
If anybody who can do renders wouldn't mind doing the Championships teams renders can they say so.
Thank's, Ben

i've got most of the stuff finished for this now. just waiting for a few finalising stuff and more tems to enter.
Also if you are a single racer wanting to join but have no team i'm working out a system which should allow you to race by joining up privateers to create a privateer team.

New privateer rule has been added to the championship.
It can be found here (http://www.freewebs.com/lfsgtseries/rules.htm)

Doh ... sry for not reading your rules before posting ... :D
One thing I find a bit strange in the rules consurning overtakings: 6) When being overtaken: Give space by moving over to the opposite side of the circuit;
I find that one abit to much. Should be more like: ... Give enough space.
As I see it it's not nescesary to move over that much, but should be clear to everyone that you have to make room considering lag as well.
In the driver swaps I recomend you change the rule to; The connecting driver shouldn't connect before the last sector of the track. If there's 17 or more cars in the race it's going to be a problem to connect since the server might be full. Many cars can have the same strategy for pitting and if connected drivers are able to stay on the server for a whole lap it could easily be caos. You should recommend all that leaves the game should do it as soon as possible after the driver swap, not to stay and watch the race ... :)

We qualifyed 9th and right off the start we were in 7th. Of course I make a mistake and into the sand we go on the 5th corner. After I got out of the grass we were 12th out of 12. I quickly got back to 10th and then it was time for dick to take over. He had a good stint except for the point that he hit the wall hard. It did not hurt the handling of the car. I took over once again and drove till lap 72 no action during this stint.
ShibbyMan666
24th March 2007, 22:14
Well we had to draft in another driver since tonight was disasterous.
First 1 driver cant make it, the reserve vanishes. So we say ok we can manage with 2 drivers, then when its time for the second driver to come in the host refused him connection :Looking_a So in the end we had to draft another team member in, who we would like to use permanently in the competition.

Sorry about that, next round i'll make a thread for the race report.

Hi will something be sorted about our driver that could not connect? Is it possible you check if he is banned or something? Since with the addition of the missing drivers that made things very difficult.
The username is: marek100
He says he has never been in a CD server before so a ban is unlikely.
Many thanks! :)

Great race, except for all the drivers that didn't know how to shut up during the race - even the admins chatted! Disturbing, please don't do that again.
We had a great time, although we suffered technical problems with my co-drivers pedals, which forced me to take a double stint. Slowest car on track? Maybe. Most consistent? Yes in deed - 4th position, thank you :)

So, again, sorry. :)

What happened with the start? The first four cars went green at the point of safety car exit, or darn near. They left the whole rest of the field back. By the time the last three cars passed start line 13 seconds had passed. And the first four were thru the chicane and on theyre way down the long straight as the rest of the field was just rounding T1!
Also I dont recall seeing any indication of a green flag on the start.

How did you say its green? On TS? We use our own Ventrilo. It needs to be done graphically.
The first lap split from position 1 to last position was 18 seconds... 13 of that on the safety lap..:scratchch

I said before the race, and because i was driving also, it was difficult for me to do it in the race, i tried everything i could to get the guy going but he wouldn't budge, and under the rules, i couldn't pass till the others crossed the line.

Alright, so is this situation resolved?
1) Starts/Restarts.
Simple Solution: a Non-Racing Marshall would give (type or use one of the F-keys) a
Marshall: 3….
Marshall: 2….
Marshall: 1….
Marshall: GREEN FLAG GREEN FLAG GREEN FLAG
At which point we could disengage our pit limiters. Allowing you to see if anyone disengaged early too in replay.
2) Issuing safety car.
Is there a Non-Racing Marshall(S) who is in charge of watching the race and sending out the safety car? Ideally there will be multiple people watching various parts of the track for incidents warranting SC.
What is the notification of a Full Course Yellow, Safety Car Incident?
Again,
Marshall: YELLOW FLAG SAFETY CAR YELLOW FLAG SAFETY CAR
Would be effective in letting everyone know, “No Passing” Safety car is out.
3) Blue Flag.
From the rules, I infer that this does NOT mean “MUST YIELD POSITION”. Someone in front is allowed to Maintain their pace, keep their line. The driver Lapping has the responsibility of making a Clean Pass. Is this correct?
Thanks,
Stu
