Well as the title states, Im real lazy and is willing to give out webspace for an S2 voucher. I am talking around 5gig+ and files will be hosted untill i take my server off line (currently just started a 2yr contract and plan on staying for about 10 years).

So any offers?

Won't the bandwidth over the course of 10 years cost you more than whatever your equivalent of £24 is?

Matt_Driver

all they can do is store files on it? not really worth it :)

If you had a webserver with limited webspace, you keep just use that as the URL and all the files could be contained on another. It's hardly a complete package though.

I have alot of webspace and im getting sick of the f****** demo community. I can scale the size also.

It's cheaper for you to just buy LFS... seriously!

Hankstar

Yeah, cough up the 24 pounds, I say (AU$60). Small price to pay for all the extra LFS content, not to mention the bonus of getting away from demo idiots (not that all of them are idiots, but there sure is a lower proportion of them in the licensed community).

Webspace is going cheap as chips these days so I'm not sure you'll get any takers

pedrotski

Yeha i know, but have more webspace than i can handle. :P. Just i find this much easier for me and its a chance for somone to pick up some cheap space.

Sell some to a porn producer! It's a new and struggling online industry and needs a hand to get a foothold in the market.

Are you sure about that? It doesn't seem like the online porn industry is struggling!

A few flaws;
* No mention of diskspace
* No mention of transfer limits
* Most people who care about having 100mbit or equiv. connections either have their own hosting, or their own boxes
* Hosting, as mentioned, is dirt cheap - much cheaper than an S2 licence

Seriously, if you have hosting coming out of your ears, you've either got a dreamhost (or other high bandwidth, low cost) account, your own box or boxes, or are using company machines to host personal things. If any of these are true, I'm sure you could fork out a couple of quid for S2. If you don't, just don't buy coffee, or whatever it is that floats your boat, every morning for a few weeks.

also no mention of location. which is always important.

@pedrotski - Doubt you will have any luck with this. Best off just buying direct.

1TB? How often, every month? If so that's some serious usage.

pedrotski
8th February 2007, 02:06
Yes every month. I could also up it to about 15gig, And you can host websites ect also.

Where is this server hosted (the location of the datacentre).

Would you be willing to sign a legal agreement garunteeing (sp?) the dataspace and the bandwidth allocation per month. also the minimum length of having the webspace.

Sounds a bit dodgy at my end. Considering that we're paying the price of 3 S2 Licences per month for our server. Which is hosted in Australia.

Well i cant do gaming servers, But i could probly get an 8mb line in a month or 2 if needed. And i would be willing to sign a contract for that.

The current servers are hosted in the US and will soon have one is aus as im starting a Gaming-Network.

Just buy the sim ffs,
It sounds very much like your 12 years old and your onselling (there is another word) your dads webspace.

Gives me the shits the scams and bullshit people pull to get hold of a $60au sim, save up for it for christs sake.

Nice web site, but i have to ask the question has the lan been going since 1997?

That would make you say 8yrs old when you started running the lan , impressive indeed:)

pedrotski, this is quite interesing. You seem to be offering something worth way more than the cost of 24GBP to get a license.

I think most people would be apprehensive, as you could pull the carpet out from under their feet after 1 month, then no one could do anything about it and you'd only lose a little cred over it (the buyer would get more "Told you so's" than you got criticism).

I'm tempted because I have a few web sites with videos on etc and I'd like to expand them. Also, wasnt the LFS Files site looking for somewhere to go? I think that would be a great idea, if the LFS Files site would fit within your limits. Cant remember what happened to all that though.

lol if it goes this way.. then there should be a new payment option called "Trade/Exchange" lol..

we accept credit cards, international money orders and trades/exchanges on the LFS buy page :pillepall. now that really isnt any good :)

a) Please don't call people a "nob" (or any other insult, however minor, unless in jest)
b) Funny, your profile information says you're 16. Make your mind up. ;)
