multi player demo version

Hi Guys, is there any reason why i cant play my friend over the web in multi player , then start new game?? He cant seam to join my game? We only have the demo version at the mo. should it still work??

If you're on a router, you'll need to do port forwarding for the port you've set up your server on. Alternatively, you can temporarily place your PC in the "demilitarized zone", also known as the "DMZ". Most, but not all, routers have this facility, and most but not all call it the "DMZ".
