problems with xfire [Archive]

hello guys.

i was allowed lfs in xfire and when xfire is turned on and i want to play with lfs i click on lfs,then it starts to load and a message came:an erro has occured ,lfs is shutting down...blablabla.....send error report or cancel....blablabla...
then i turn off xfire and lfs works quite good,any idea?

thats an Xfire Issue.

Xfire is 100% compatible with LFS atm

LFS and xfire work fine for me, flawlessly and without any problems. Try re-installing xfire as it sounds like a problem at xfire's end.

Do you have the ghostcar mod installed? I found that the ghostcar d3d8.dll causes LFS to crash like that

Either close xfire before loading LFS, or move the dll out of your LFS directory

Trying to use Kegetys' motion blur mod also causes Xfire problems.

I assume it's related to the way Xfire deals with overlaying it's own UI on top of DirectX. Since the blur mod is essentially a DirectX hack it's not too surprising :)

But I have no problems running Xfire and LFS at the same time.

Running fine here with Ghostcar mod dll removed.
