i had lfs on my computer before, but unfortunatly i had to reformat it.

so after that was said and done i downloaded version V again. did the same thing i did the first time everything seemed to be going well. but as soon as i try to launch lfs the screen will come up but then a window will pop up saying "error - Could not initialize graphics" ive downloaded and reinstalled the game twice now with no success

anyone have any suggestions?

Try to download and install new drivers for your graphic card and see if that helps.

Well if you have reformatted your system, you have also reinstalled operating system and after reinstalling operating system you should update graphic card's drivers as quite often default drivers are not working too well with games.

Of course it can be something else, but something to start with at least.

I get that same error in linux when trying to boot LFS without the 3D drivers, so I'd presume that the drivers which are currently installed are lacking a 3D extention of some sort in them, so you just need to update your Graphics Drivers.

The alternative is that you need to install DirectX.
