Bring back the FXO's wing

I downloaded S1H a little while ago for fun, and the FXO had a wing/spoiler. I think that the FXO should get its spoiler back. It isn't very fair that the XRT and RB4 have a wing and the FXO doesnt. Because, if the FXO got its spoiler back then the drag would be increased, evening out the class. Just a thought.

Just because it gets its wing back shouldn't be the deciding factor to making it balanced or slower. The wing was ridiculous anyways, and I actually prefer the small sporty wing instead, since it is way more believable. That old FXO wing was enormous, too high, and just looked like a car you'd see on those silly import junk car pages people joke about.

The issue with the FXO and XFG is that the FWD phsyics are a bit strange with people using high front ARB and locked diff. It is way too strong in the corners and can carry a lot of speed as oppossed to what should be faster... RWD.

Now it actually looks like a production car, which is much better. So, -1 from me.
It's not like the wing had any effect on performance anyway.

The FXO has a small spoiler, just like the XRT and RB4. I think the old S1 model should be re-vamped, made to look a little more like a touring car, and be brought back with slick tires as an ETCC-esque touring car.

What do you say? FXO is much faster than XRT or RB4 and you want to make in even more fast using that wing? No mate, I would keep it as it is know.

And just BTW, IIRC those "wings" on XRT and RB4 doesnt add any valuable(if any) amount of downforce.

Yes, the spoilers on the road cars are purely visual. Body lift is not modelled in any way in LFS. And spoilers is what they should be, no wings on the road cars, thanks.

Thanks, I searched the net a bit, but when I saw the pics I thought it was a GTR... I think that answers what all you guys were saying too :D Ugly spoiler back then. I do like the tracks a bit more :)

IMO They should be RBT, FXT and XRO. An seperate from UXFR.

I have been asking for this since S1... but still is the damn fwd faster... easiest car to drive and its the fastest of the three... that is just not fair...

In 'Auto, Motor and Sport' magazine there was a test of Alfa 159, BMW 3 series, Passat, Accord etc.
In some handling tests, 159 was faster than BMW (e90), so FWD can be faster in some situations than RWD, with good setup.

A wing in FXO should be at 90* to slow it down anyway. Or forced LPG instalation :tilt:

I couldnt agree more. They removed the FXOs wing becase it made it look to much like the FXR. SInce when was it bad to have a car that looked like a GTR racer?

Ugh, why do people have to bump such old threads. The old wing in the FXO is so ugly, can't believe I ever liked it. Oh well. There's worse threads in the past that I've made that I hope no-one ever bumps. :schwitz:
