The Omega tweaked ATi drivers worked great for me on my old 9600XT
Get the ones for Windows 2000/XP here (http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=Files&go=cat&dwn_cat_id=14)

for the 9600 pro its better to have fastwrites on. usually its better off but for this card on is the better choice.
and be carefull with overclocking, u can smoke ur card pretty easy ;)

Yeh overclocking graphics cards isn't very beneficial except for synthetic benchmarks, espcially the older cards and ATi don't seem to overclock well. Thew newer nvidias seem to go pretty hard though hence we see anufacturers overclocking cards out of the factory and charging a premium when the benefit is minimal. It's not worth frying your card for 5 more fps.

Yeh overclocking graphics cards isn't very beneficial except for synthetic benchmarksnot really - overclock it and you can see a 10% speed increase (as long as the rest of your PC isn't bottlenecked)
