Cool idea, but I think the amount of work to create large capacity diesel engines would be a waste of time at this time, I'd have thought a move towards adding full race engines and general improvements would be time better spent atm.

The devs' goal is to make all aspects and forms of racing accesible. Truck racing is one of the forms of racing so there's a chance we might expect them later on.

I am in full suppport of this Idea-
Afterall touring cars would be a little modding of the FXO platform or skin so only Super trucks are needed- Full Race bred Diesel engines, and the roar and the sliding! ooo-wahh

I could try supertrucks at S1 using LFS Tweak. It was done by someone whose name I don't remember, but the same person who did the Full Dragster and some more cars.

This SuperTruck at S1 was incredible amazing, I could feel the incredible 5 tonner truck. The incredible power, letting me slide on cornerss!! AMAZING

Try it at S1 if you can, sadly I cannot report the name or the URL of the person :_( but I can give you the LFS Tweak file :)

You can't hardly change the appearance of the car, and certainly not the 3D model. It looks just like the GTT but with huge tyres nowhere near the body. So I'm afraid the only way to find out is to try it, since LFSTweak basically a "handling & engine mod", if you prefer.
