Make sure the data folder and its contents are not read only?

Did you extract LFS preserving the data structure? There needs to be a directory called "data" where the LFS executable sits. Within there are more directories and files.

If they are there, check Woz's suggestion. Also check that the permissions allow you to read and execute.

Finally, did you get the full game, or just the patch? You need the full U version to play :)

 Maybe you were tired :p

Ermmm the LFS.exe isn't in the data folder, I am sure you mean that if you extract it to a folder the data folder and other directories should be visible, as well as the LFS executable ;).

 Maybe you were tired :p.I intended my statement to be "There needs to be a directory called "data", in the same location in which the LFS executable sits". Although I can see how its easy to mis-interpret ;)
i.e (snipped and cleaned for prosperity).
<DIR> .
<DIR> ..
<DIR> data
1,589,248 LFS.exe

And my excuse is a sleepless night :( The gfs started sleep-talking again. Which is freaky to say the least.

"gf" is usually the abbreviation for "girlfriend", and "gfs" would be the plural of that. We're quite on topic here, aren't we? :D :schwitz:

Well if the two topics at hand are: "it" doesn't work & girlfriend(s)... it might be on topic/relative... maybe? :D  :shy:

Use Urban Dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/) :) Though the definition for gfs (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gfs) isn't correct in this case (no definition for girlfriends), other things are easy to find. (gf works)
