Protest to Motodrom gfsclan.de's server

i was baned unjustly from this server. it happened today...
i only entered the server, and before i enter the race, the user Robinho voted to kick me... and then, without saying nothig some administrator banned me...
i want to someone explain me that and allow me to can enter the server again...

Sounds like it isn't worth the trouble, spend your time racing on servers where you're welcome and those which aren't as ban happy.

It appears there is a 'Ban/Unban' section in the lfs section of the forum, you could ask there. Like you I don't speak much german, so I don't understand the bit underneath that. I guess it cant hurt to post there though, what's the worst that can happen? :)

yes true Bob but as a mater of principle.... if you do nothing wrong and you get banned for no reason you have the right to find out why...true there are a lot of servers but if some one is determined enough they will pursue it....

hi folks,

i had the same problem today. in the meantime i had to realize that they made their own rules on this server. and everyone who doesnt follow this rules will get kicked or banned.
for example on this server blue flag means that you have to stop immediatly to let the others pass. sorry but this was new to me :)
and it was also new to me that only the others have to break when a yellow flag comes up and never the members :)
but this behavior is clear when you have to read that some people dont take stock in racing or winning points. they are only there for hotlapping and so its clear that such people will ruin every race because they think they are all alone on the track and everybody else has to take care of them :)

so i made my decision never to join this server again. i went their to have some good races and lots of fun. but this is not possible on this server :(

depends on how long they banned you - if they didn't use a timed ban, you should be able to race there again, if they used a timed ban, you probably won't be able anytime soon...

from what i found in their forum, i'm pretty sure that you can start searching for a new server - they have numerous threads about 'cleaning their server' and where they advise all their members to ban 'unwanted' drivers - sounds a bit like some powerhappy admins to me - definetly not the kind of environment i'd want to race in

I have noticed recently they have been running the FOX at SO Classic. A hard track at the best of times for clean racing. Even more so with such a wide range of driver talent seeming to use this particular server.

How they run their server is up to them, if you don't like it you don't have to go there. I haven't really been in since it changed to SO Classic so I can't put forward an opinion on how the server is being run now, btu when it was AS National in the GTR's things seemed to be fine.

Were you playing in demo servers last week? BL GTi races for instance, I think I saw you there...

I can't say it was you because in demo you have no playername, but there was a player with that name with the dirtiest racing style I've recently seen

Crappy server with crappy admins. I got banned from there a month ago without any warning or something. Why? Well i think i got banned from the server because my car spun and if your car spins you have to pit directly...well...instantly...so they dont give you even the second needed to pit. Funny thing was, someone was joining the server, so it was impossible for me to pit..

Ill never join that crap ass server again.

good post thanks for warning i wont join there :D im myself admin on our teamservers ( Racing-Center-Germany currentely only demo ) so i got to ban sometimes too but i only ban crashers after warnings. theres no point to ban anybody for a driving mistake. stupid guys there.

If this is the way people want to run their servers, then that's up to them. It is really poor sportsmanship to act and admin in this way IMO. If that's the way they want it, then they should just go private and race with their team. There is no way to know idiotic rules such that I've read here when you join a server. If a server is public, then it is open to everyone. If you want rules on your server, you need warn people and let them know about rules. If you go to an ATC server and swear in the chat, then they will tell you "No swearing please". You just don't ban people for their first time at breaking unknown rules. Or threads like this happen and no one will join your server.

I was on this server this weekend gone, and unfortunately there were a couple of Class A tw@ts who refused to obey the flags and were racing dirty - i had one driver open a small door between him and the armco to allow me past and as i got up next to him he wouldn't let me past and rail roaded me into the wall. I was 2nd at this point in the race.

I raced on that server this weekend - did about 250 laps - I liked it so much that I actually got sad to see that they changed the track, now that I just got a brand new setup (thanks Billah!) I could push new limits with :)

Anyhow, I wont say the admins aren't what others state, but I would just like to say that it might not be as bad as you think.

Only "conflict" I had was at the beginning when a driver told me (kindly) to let lapping cars pass - I replied that ofcourse, but I there were no room for it. Thats was the end of it.

The situation with TDT10 is bad indeed, and I personally think there should be clear warning(s) before a ban or even kick.

Also, I personally feel the thing with jumping to pit straight away is horses*it - Its just not realistic and add that extra dynamic dimension to it.

I say LFS dev team should let the car stay where it halted and let the game take care of it (crane) :)

1.Use Brakes
2.Dont Ignore the blue Flag
3. No Invectives or something else
4.No Cheats

Its really hard for an Admin to enforce this Rules,Im sorry when there was somebody kicked who is a fair driver it was not my Intension.We know the Problem with much crashes,we want to change it.but its really hard when theres some idiots dont use brakes ignore blue flags all the time.It`s a pity for us that some guys think that we are bastards or something else.I think u were a good and fair driver and allways welcome on our server!!!

I cant tell for everyone from our clan,but i say it again it is not our intension to ban fair drivers,we only want fair races and fun.But in last time its more stress than even fun.Plz respect this we are not machines we are humans too!Mistakes can happen,it is hard for the admins on every server to find the right way to make good races,im a driver too and i want driving not admonish the guys all the time.When u respekt my excuse then u are welcome on motodromegfsclan.de.
