Unlocks all used?.. Can't unlock LFS S2 ..

hi everyone..

I had some errors installing the patch after installing LFS S2 "clean" .. On my new computer i got this weekend ..


The bottom line is that it says:

I didn't check how many I had, infact i didn't know I had a certain amount of unlocks .. :shrug:

So how long do i have to really wait to play online again ?...:(

A waste of £25 ... :scratchch

It's not a waste you'll get it back in a month. Every user gets 2 unlocks every month. Ask Victor if he could get new an unlock.:)

From the official FAQ (http://www.liveforspeed.net/?page=faq&search=unlock&id=33).Initially you will be granted 3 unlocks. In addition, you get an additional unlock available every first day of the month, provided you do not already have 2 unlocks available. So unless you are having severe problems with your computer, you should be fine and always able to unlock LFS again after a reinstallation of Windows for example, or when you buy new computer parts or a whole new computer.Incase that isn't clear enough, you start off with 3 unlocks. Each month you get another unlock, but up to the limit of 2 unlocks. i.e. after your very first unlock the maximum you can have is 2.

In the past the dev's have been generous giving additional unlocks. You can ask here (http://www.liveforspeed.net/?page=mailus). No guarantees though.

If your issues were caused by running Vista check out the test patches here (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=9869&highlight=vista), which add support for unlocking it.

If all else fails, just wait 10 days and you'll be rocking and rolling again. If there's a genuine reason for running out though, like TAA says, the devs are generous.

W00T got my e-mail back this morning, now I have one unlock .. :thumb:

Now i just have to re-install the game again .. :nod:

Hi there. I have the same problem. After cleaning my win xp, i got the same message. And since its the beginning of december, it means that i'll have to wait a whole month until i can play ... Anyone with a solution ?

2 unlocks in 9 days, must be a record or something. Youll have to contact the devs and if you ask nice enough they might give you another one.

Yeah definately. But my rig didnt move ... I just got probrems with my windows and tried to re-activate LFS but i couldnt :(.

Is there any way to buy unlock points ? Because I change my rig very often. And it could be convenient to be able to buy unlock points.

Seems I should really watch what time of the month I reformat my hard drives [once a month exactly, the price I pay for being a power user].

Power users ghost their drives and don't have to unlock each monthly format :) So join the 'power users' and start ghosting.
