The only way to change car body shapes in LFS is to crash into something.

You cannot physically change the car models. You can create your own skins. Some racers do add things like headlights and other things with skins, but that is the only way to change the look.
Just smile and wave at the "You should have been born knowing this" crowd. :wave23d:

Thats S1 - the wheels are from Bespoke, the lights are painted over on the skin

Those are just skins, and the wheels are either photoshopped on, or they are renders. The wheels on the cop car are obviously photoshopped, the other's I'm not so sure. However, none of those can be used ingame.

All of those are just paint jobs, there is no change in the body shape or style at all. Just drop the skin files if you skin directory and you will be able to select them.

no hes trying to say is for example the xrt has that normal font thats usually on the car but theres xrt skins wit s14 fronts on them so it can be done

Yep, it can be done - but only in 2D like they said, as a skin design.
Have a look throught the skins forum, especially at the XRT and FXO threads and you'll probably see a few LFS cars masquerading as BMWs, Silvias etc..

If you wanna change a cars front end go and buy NFSU and onwards or you can go and buy a real car and do it (I suggest the 180SX or S13 Silvia as it's the easiest to do).

If I'm not mistaken, those wheels are the XRT ones. Looks like a quick .vob swap to me, nothing special.
