probably already mentioned, slightly different to the ghost car racing thread.
i dont know what this is exactly called but ive seen it many times in top gear where they are comparing two cars on the same screen to show which car was faster on straight and corners.
so in lfs it could run in a way where you are running a replay and you could have another replay playing but the car is faded out/ghost.
ofcourse you can get this information of raf telemetry output.

A replay compare function would be cool, but it could also be done by splitscreen in stead of ghosting (that might work around the patent issues mentioned in the ghost car topic).

Why use the word ghost? Just do what the WRC does and have cars that simply clip through each other.

I know I am a bit late here with this, but I was just thinking about it and thought I would do a search for the topic. I think it would be awesome to have a split screen function for watching in particular other peoples hotlaps compared to your own, so as you can see where you are losing time compared to them, it would be so much easier than having to watch your replay, then load up theirs, and try and remember what you were doing at a particular corner.....
So is this idea had any thoughts from the developers yet? No replies in this thread for awhile, so I just thought I would open it up again...:smileypul
