okay.. so within 3 months, i have been able to crack 2 springs (same spring.. even same spot)
if anyone has had the up and down miniswitch spring break and have found a way to fix this from occuring, please help me! i dont want to pay another 8$ or whatever to buy a whole extra set of springs!
the spring on the side that controls the up and down is wing shaped: \_/
however, on the ends, they are curled around to i guess relieve pressure from the center; HOWEVER, moving the shifter up or down 5 degrees engages the switch.. the shifter moves a good 30 or so degrees up and down..
so its just killing my springs by multiplying its forces for no need at all
it breaks on the top part of the spring (the part that engages upper gears 1,3,5,7) mainly because this spring moves more than the lower part of the spring, causing it to break the several times it has in the same exact spot (just outside joint it is inserted in [just outside the O])
so what i figured i should do is bend the steel to a higher angle, so less pressure is put on springs, instead of the default insane amounts that causes them to break
