Performance problems

[Arctic WRX]

LFS ran great on my old computer but on my new one it runs horrible.
I only get around 5-9fps with no other cars on the track and When I so much as nudge my wheel, the ingame one turns like crazy.

I have a Logitech DFP wheel and a AMD dual core processor with 1.75gigs of ram and a Radeon X1300. I've tried tweaking the settings, but nothing seems to work.

Make sure you have the latest GFX card drivers. There were a series of Catalyst drivers that had horrible performance when combined with multicore systems, if I remember correctly. Also take a look in the LFS graphics options and turn HVS (Hardware Vertex Shading) on, if it is turned off for whatever reason.
