Joos Car?

Hello,

(I am not so good at english but i will try)
When i join a multiplayer game in my LFS S2 demo the text: JOOS CAR or OOS CAR or JOOS SET CAR. What does it means. Please help me.

(J)OOS usually means that theres a problem with your LFS - i.e. its been tweaked, or altered in someway, or it also used to be that the server you were joining was modified. Try another server, if that fails, reinstall a refresh copy of LFS.

Before the S2 Alpha full release, you would see this often in the demo (version L I think). It was a bug I believe. Perhaps the bug is still there in the demo. I have not noticed it in the full alpha release.

Hello.
I have same problem.When i log into the server called lsc cruise then i get same text.Joos-car.I just changed pack z30.But i cant go there server.When i have z28 then it says that this server is another pack z30.
I dunno what to next :( :shrug:.
can somebody help?What to next?

can somebody help?What to next?The normal cause of this is VOB mods. If you have VOB mods that change the physical properties of your car, you will get JOOS when you join a Z30 or Z31 host.

I have the same problem as vahur17 (http://www.lfsforum.net/member.php?u=230414), but I did work on the cmx files for the bodies as per lfsmanual (http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/3D_Render_Tutorial) I just want to say that I'll never modify any physics on my favourite simulator(that is Scawen's job) :thumb::thumb:

BUT I can join some servers and some I can't. I use mates@track NG to connect to servers and I noticed the following:
Under the Track column it doesn't display the track name but the following results:
not found: 663
not found: 642
not found: 252 etc etc

I cannot join those servers, even with the single seater cars and I don't work on the cmx files with the single seaters.

The servers where it does display the track name works just perfect:shrug::Looking_a

One thing I've noticed though, the servers that I cannot join are mostly ones that has a lot of objects in it, but I'm not to sure if it has got anything to do with it:shy:

Have you installed the test patch? If not, that could be the problem. Many servers are running today on patch Z31. This would explain the fact that there are a lot of objects, since the objects limit has been increased from 512 to 800.
You should go to the Test Patch forum and download the patch, if you want to try it.

My problem is solved.I think that yes the problem was that vob-files and i haved z30 before i dryed go into lsc cruise.Now i can play and im happy again(A):P

Does revlimiter count as a cheat/tweak?Depends. One that emulates key presses (old one, written by some Polish guy) - no, one that alters LFS memory (~2 months old one) - yes.

Why temper with LFS?
It does not make sense from a "fun" point of view, nor from a "satisfactory" angle. That is just my opinion.
