How do I calibrate the wheel correctly? Throttle works ok but brake is on as soon as I come off the gas?

On the screenshot, you have Throttle/brake combined. Switch that to Separate and recalibrate your pedals :)

It's because your pedals are combined at the moment.

You have to switch it to "uncombined" or "seperate" in the windows xp gamecontroller options first (dunno how it is called correctly I only got the german xp version ;) ).

After ! you have done it you can assign throttle and brake to a different axis in LFS.
